The Vikings are said to have discovered North America.
According to legend, Leif Eriksson landed in Greenland about 1,000 years ago.
A few years later they traveled further west and set foot on the beaches of what is now Canada.
In honor of these fearless seafarers, here's a three-themed mug:
- A Viking warrior (Leif Eriksson, son of Erik the Red) with a silver helmet.
- To the left a Viking ship on a stormy sea, with a sailor looking out for safe land.
- To the right a Viking ship in calm waters, leaving green land behind and sailing east towards home.
A war shield and the banner "Viking" as well as the side motifs are framed by Norse symbols.
