History of the bridal cup:
In the 15th century, the father did not want to let his Kunigunde marry a penniless goldsmith.
He had Schmid locked in a dungeon, but instead of putting an end to their love, his daughter fell ill with lovesickness.
In desperation, his father decided to give the young man a task: if he passed it, he would be allowed to marry the daughter. The young man actually developed a cup from which he could drink at the same time as his loved one.
