Dr.Oetker Cake Mix, Marble Cake with Glaze
Dr.Oetker Backmischung, Marmor mit Glazur
475g
Product of Germany

Additional Ingredients: Loaf tin (25x11cm)
150g soft margarine or butter
3 eggs
100mL milk and 1 tbsp milk for the dark dough

Directions:
1. Grease and flour the loaf pan and preheat the oven
(top/bottom heat: around 180°C, Hot air: around 160°C)
2. Add the baking mix, margarine or butter, eggs and milk to a mixing bowl
3. Using a stirrer, work briefly on the lowest setting and then on the highest setting
for about 3 minutes to form a smooth dough
4. Pour 2/3 of the dough into the loaf pan
5. Stir the mixture with cocoa and 1 tablespoon of milk into the remaining dough
6. Spread the dark dough on the light dough and use a fork to pull both layers
of dough in a spiral shape to create a marble pattern
7. Bake in the oven, bottom shelf, for about 60 minutes
8. After about 15 minutes of baking, cut the cake lengthwise in the middle
about 1cm deep with a sharp knife
9. Let stand in the tin for 10 minutes, then remove from the tin
and let cool on a cake rack

for the glaze:
1. Bring water to a boil in a pot
2. Remove the pot from the heat and place the bag with the glaze in it,
leave it there for about 10 minutes
3. Dry the bag and knead vigorously, then cut it open
and spread the icing over the cake
