Product History "HB Glaseidel Isar 1 liter"
Memories and thoughts of the Hofbräuhaus or Oktoberfest Munich are automatically linked to the beer mug. And because the glass mugs are so popular in Munich, they are named after the Isar, the river that flows through Munich. Anyone who has ever been a guest at the Hofbräuhaus or has attended the Wies'n will also remember these massive, rustic Isar tankards.
The Isar tankards were used in Munich from the end of the 19th / beginning of the 20th century and replaced the ceramic jugs. The reason was that with ceramic jugs it was not possible to check whether they had been filled correctly.
Whether on the terrace or in the living room: With an Isar mug you always have a good portion of beer at hand - and for hot summer days we recommend a ceramic mug because the beer stays cool and fresh longer in it.
Cheers!
